BAYANIHAN PROJECT - Philippines
Bayanihan is a Filipino term, and it means the local people volunteer to help a family move a small hut to a new location. But with AJDF version, we help the family move to a new house by helping them with building materials and assemble local volunteers to help with the construction.
Poor families will receive an assistance with rebuilding their current house. Houses pictured below are located in Aloran Misamis Occidental Philippines. With the help of our volunteers, donors, friends and with Admiral Denton's approval, we are able to build a small house for the poor families in the remote areas in Mindanao. We cannot promise to give them a fancy house but we are making sure that these families would be able to live in a nicer house, be able to sleep good at night and does not get wet inside their house during rainy seasons. They are very happy for the unexpected help they receive from the people of the United States through the Admiral Jeremiah Denton Foundation (AJDF). We will TRANSFORM one house at a time and we are inviting you to be part of this special project that Admiral Denton cares about so much.
